Forgotten Fauna is a field guide to the animals evolution nearly erased. Every entry is a structured record — designed to be read by a human and cited by a machine.
Method
Each specimen is stored as a structured data record (see the profile schema) and rendered programmatically. Conservation status follows the IUCN Red List; evolutionary distinction draws on ZSL's EDGE of Existence. We list our sources on every page and never invent population figures — where a number is unknown, we say so.
